Product Description

TYLI as prime designer is providing architecture and engineering design services for Jakarta LRT phase I in Jakarta, Indonesia, for PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA). This project includes 5 viaduct stations, 1 depot and 1 main workshop station (MWS)/ operation control center (OCC) / power substation etc. With a target schedule on August 2018 for only 18 months design and construction period, Jakarta LRT phase I is expected to be operated prior of 2018 Asian Games.

TYLI’s scope of work includes seismic, structural, civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering, geotechnical analysis, interface/systems integration, and coordination services. The design team for this megaproject consists of a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for the development of the different components. With the support of TYLI’s Taiwan team is delivering the design services of 3 viaduct stations, 1 depot station (depot ramp bridge)

The viaduct superstructure for the light rail transit platform consists of I-girder, the length between 12.5 and 30 meters. The superstructure design of cross-platform level adopts rectangular beams. The substructure design of cross-platform level adopts portal frame pier and pile, and it utilizes truss structure on its roof.

Three stations feature two design types, each station consists of eight spans and each spanning length is 15 meters, the length is 120 meters in total. The station consists of ground mechanical room, station hall on the 2nd level and platform level, viaduct pedestrian walkway, light rail transit system operation office, and administrative office etc. The maintenance workshop consists of stabling area, operation control center, transit maintenance center, power substation and depot ramp bridge. And it is planning for development building complex in the future.

This Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) Phase I starts from Kelapa Gading station (including depot and main workshop station) to Velodrome station. This 5.8km light rail transit route will be extended to Dukuh Atas and Tanah Abang in Jakarta as phase II.
