This project involves the design of an interchange along National Freeway No. 1 (140K+075) between Miaoli Interchange (132K+814) and Sanyi Interchange (150K+225). The northern access road starts from Hsinchu Science Park Tongluo Base and extends east to connect the Zi-qiang Road and the Hsin-hsin Road. This single-point interchange provides a traffic junction which relieves traffic congestion and links several major arteries within the city. Works included the construction of a 279 m connecting road with 4 legs on the ramp for a total length of 3,436 m. The project costs were estimated around NT Dollars 1.128 billion.
